Gisborne based artist Lanie Wilton has been painting & exhibiting for 20 years with a range of work from NZ landscapes, word art and abstract mixed media.
Since living in Gisborne, Lanie has been exploring beach scenes on different surfaces, such as reclaimed wood, canvas and surfboard blanks. Lanie lives with her husband, and their six year old daughter surrounded by flowers and home grown goodness. It is from here, that alot of her inspiration is centered.
More recently, Lanie has been exploring generational inspiration for her art. Coming from a creative family, her mother, grandmother, aunties and daughter have been impacting on both her style and artistic content.
